Managing suppliers and order guides in a supermarket

The Nalyx Supplier block shows who sells to you, at what price and on what terms. Nalyx reads your suppliers' order guides, keeps a profile for each supplier and each store, and spots the products another supplier sells you for less. The Supplier block is for supermarket owners and their buying managers.

Order guides, read as they arrive

An order guide (cadencier) is the list of items a supplier offers a store, with their cost prices and pack sizes. Nalyx reads order guides in the Intermarché banner's CADAR format and the Mercalys template, in Excel (.xlsx, .xls) or CSV. A PDF order guide can also be read, with an on-screen check recommended.

Each import is matched against your sales: supplier by supplier, you see what you buy and what you actually sell.

Your direct suppliers

The Your direct suppliers tab lists the suppliers that deliver to the store directly, outside head office, with what they sell you. The same supplier can have a different number in each store: Nalyx reads the number specific to each outlet, and one profile can hold several numbers.

Supplier profiles

Each supplier has a profile: contact details, items, figures. Trading terms that do not appear in the order guides are entered on the profile: free-delivery threshold, catalogue discount, year-end rebate, delivery lead time.

Cross-analysis

When the same product (same EAN code) is offered by at least two suppliers, cross-analysis puts them side by side and estimates the annual saving if you bought from the cheapest. This is often where the easiest money to recover is hiding.

Product listing

The product listing gives, for each product line, its sales, margin and stock, with every supplier that offers it. Search for an item by its description, internal code or EAN.
